Ray Bullen & Associates has developed the Translator series of software that translate the various file outputs of the Grain Handling organisations in Australia and produces a file tailored into the formats that you have setup in GrainSMART. This software is used by a number of companies using GrainSMART and has been successfully used for several years.

Each BHC in Australia allows the electronic download of acquisition tickets but unfortunately each BHC is totally different in their layout and quite often how the data is presented. For example some produce csv files and others produce comma delimited text files. We have developed acquisition Translators for the following BHC's:

     - Viterra

     - ABA

     - WACBH

     - Graincorp

     - AWB

The Translators are developed in Excel to use the power of Excel formulas and because everyone is quite comfortable in using Excel. These Translators take the output from the BHC and look up the business rules you have developed in the Translator to transform the data into acceptable input into GrainSMART. A simple example might suffice. Some of the BHC's output the season as 11, others as 1112, some as 2011. You may have setup GrainSMART to show season as 1112. Therefore the Translators take however the BHC shows season and converts it to the way you want it shown.
